Norman Braman was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania where he was a waterboy in his teenage years at the Philadelphia Eagles training camp. As fate would have it, he later became sole owner of the Eagles in 1986. The team won at least 10 games per year for five straight years through 1993. He sold the team at the peak of its game to Jeffrey Lurie in 1994.

As a graduate of Temple University with a degree in business administration, he began his career in the marketing and sales department for Seagram's Distributors. Later he founded Keystone Stores, a chain of self-service department stores in central Pennsylvania. In 1964, he organized Philadelphia Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics, a manufacturer of pharmaceuticals and was President and Chief Executive Officer.

In 1972 he bought a Cadillac dealership in Tampa, Florida - the beginning of his current automotive empire. Three years later he bought another in Miami and today he is the Chairman of Braman Management, an umbrella company for his automotive businesses encompassing 23 franchise locations in Florida and Colorado, including Braman  Motorcars located in West Palm Beach and Jupiter. Braman Motorcars sells the luxury brands of Audi, Bentley, BMW, MINI, Porsche and Rolls-Royce.

Mr. Braman is well known for his community activism and philanthropy throughout South Florida.

American Honda's comprehensive approach to environmentally responsible operations extends beyond its fuel-efficient vehicles and energy-efficient manufacturing operations. It goes all the way to the dealership floor. The Honda Environmental Leadership Award and Acura Environmental Leadership Award will be presented to Honda and Acura automobile dealers who have made an environmental commitment, starting with those who are able to achieve at least a 10 percent reduction in total energy use at their dealerships.

The program offers three achievement levels-silver, gold and platinum. Silver-level dealers must achieve a 10-percent reduction in total energy use, develop a water-use reduction plan, and implement a comprehensive recycling program. Gold level dealers must achieve continuous improvement in their conservation goals above and beyond the Silver level. The top-level Platinum award is reserved for dealers whose facilities earn LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Numerous Honda and Acura dealers have already taken independent steps to address their environmental impact by replacing their lighting with low-energy lamps, installing motion sensors that turn lights off when not in use, replacing older air conditioning and heating systems with more energy-efficient equipment, installing solar panels, adding rainwater-collection systems, and planting native vegetation to reduce irrigation water use.

The award program goals are designed to be both meaningful and achievable thus providing the broadest possible impact in communities throughout the nation.

1) Top Safety Pick 2012!

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has named the Civic Sedan a "2012 Top Safety Pick." IIHS rates vehicles good, acceptable, marginal or poor based on performance in front and side crash tests, a rollover test, and evaluations of seat/head restraints for protection against neck injuries in rear impacts. To earn Top Safety Pick for 2012, a vehicle must have good ratings in all four Institute tests.

2) 2012 kelly Blue Book 10 Best Family Cars!

Kelley Blue Book's kbb.com named the Civic one of the "Best Family Cars of 2012." The Civic earned this award from The Trusted Resource® by being "family-friendly in a big way, offering safety, comfort, child-friendliness, strong consumer ratings and impressive cost of ownership stats."

3) Edmunds.com

Honda has won the first ever Edmunds.com Best Retained Value Award for Non-Luxury Brands. In addition, four Honda models won model-level 2011 Edmunds.com Best Retained Value Awards.
